I would not try and install Ubuntu on that machine – unless you want to upgrade the RAM. The idea of going back to anything else that’s not as clean, fast, and simple, yet configurable is painful!

Thank you for this information. I do think you should check the alternatives mentioned here, or add more RAM if you can. I would use USB. How we can enable wi-fi in compaque presario CQ No question about that.
