The controller loses all of its PCI configuration in the D3 state, so if the BIOS does not set it back to full power mode in time, it will not be able to configure it correctly.

I have tried the Intel web site but couldn’t find one for NT4. Some chips especially the PNIC also have peculiar bugs. The mediaopt option can also be used to enable full-duplex operation. A board or card manufacture often will use the “reference” drivers as a template for their own specific drivers. The transmitter works but the receiver tends to produce many unexplained errors leading to very poor overall performance.
Some support only MII media attachments. If you see this message at boot time and the driver fails to attach the device as a network interface, you will have to perform a second warm boot to have the device properly configured. I wonder if anybody can help me.
They are the default or reference drivers for the chip-set. For each answer, you should have the option to rate the answer as acceptable or reject.
